Summer Projects for 2015

It's been quite a busy summer for painting.  I've had two portrait commissions,  the second and third in a series of portraits of three adorable sisters.  The third is almost ready for delivery.

I started illustration paintings for a children's book about a very special duck by the name of Lucky.  It's the story of how Lucky was rescued from Marina Bay and found a wonderful home in the ponds of The Shores in Marina Bay.

Maybe the most unique and fun of my summer commissions was a large watercolor of seven vignettes of pandas.  It was so much fun to research and plan this painting and it was a great success with my clients.

Marin Watercolor Society Award

Through the month of August I participated in the MCWS "Watercolor Fusion" exhibit at the Marin Art & Garden Center Gallery in Ross, Ca.  I was awarded the Ruth Alexander Award for the painting that most appropriately depicted the theme.  It's always gratifying to be recognized by your peers, especially such a talented group.
